I did have an article that performed good on stumbleupon and I had this traffic.

I had some bad experience with Media Temple as in general I see that my servers are easy to hack and in the last year I had 3 ahck atacks and the only support I gotten from them was that they closed my sites;

I’ve been hosting web clients on a reseller account with HTTPme. Great performance and service but it required me to be the first line of tech support for email questions and the like. So I recently started looking for other options. I talked with colleagues, and then spent a couple of hours reading reviews on WebHostingTalk.com. You’ve brought up a number of factors that I hadn’t considered (like control).

WP Engine got great reviews but the price point was too high for my clients. I have one client on MediaTemple; they’re happy with the support but I didn’t care for their control panel. (Too many years with cPanel.) I finally settled on shared hosting at A Small Orange for most clients and VPS at KnownHost for those with greater requirements. So far I have two new clients on ASO, and am in the process of moving another to KnownHost.

Would love to see another post in six months or so to let us know how MT is working out for you!
