Hello Jody,
I would love to see your girl. I am no Shiba expert though. A Shiba breeder who shows her dogs would probably be best in terms of identifying all the breed physical characteristics.

I have a wonderful dog that I got from a friend, who got her from someone else and so on. I have been wondering if she has shiba inu or akita in her. I have people tell me both. I’m hoping maybe you could tell if she has shiba inu in her or not just by glancing. She weighs 45 pounds and 20 – 22 inches tall. I’d really appreciate hearing from you. I can send you a couple pictures when you respond. She has many mannerisms of both Akita and Shiba Inu.
