If we stop looking for breed dogs and love the ones here. Practice spaying and neutoring then we stio over populating this world with dogs who live to die.It’s human fault.. Adopt love and it can be any breed puppy or adult dog. Love is love.. Appreciate it and save it.

I agree so much with everything that you have said in this article and in reply to another article on cross breeding. I do everything that others do when breeding except for the aspect of trying to create as breed that adheres to a standard in health/temperament/conformation that I have created. I health test, competition obedience train, share a bed with (LOL), feed highest quality food, and love my dogs so much. It irks me that so many breeders that are called “professional breeders”, own more than twenty dogs that live in runs, are fed cheap food, under socialized and exercised, but compete in dog shows are called “ethical” when my dogs are given a life they deserve outside of money. By the way, the example I gave is of a President of ****** Shepherd club of America’s kennel operation. I told AKC that I witnessed proof of his cheating by dying his dog’s coats in order to get a title on his dogs. It is also obvious to anyone that those dogs have behavior problems either bred into them or created from their poor life style. :'( This is something that angers me so much. My dogs are my Fur-Babies and I get called a BYB or Puppy Mill by dog show snobs (simply for crossing breeds) but that guy gives no love to his dogs at all!

In reply to Anonymous. Sometimes I also feel discouraged, but when I think about it, I see that even small steps and little improvements can be significant. Changing things for just one dog may not seem like much, but I am sure it matters a whole lot for that one dog. One of my favorite dog shows on t.v. is Pit Bulls and Parolees. Tia and her people are really inspiring, and they show me that there are some people who really care a whole lot about dogs and other animals in need. That is really good and it balances out some of the bad. Hope smiles.

For me, it’s hopeless. I believe noone even gives a **** about animals. A few people maybe, but still. It will never work.

And as with anything else, it is our young people that will ultimately listen and make the changes..I suppose I am so impatient because my heart aches everyday for suffering animals. Suffering humans as well. Thank you for getting the information out here. I know how much you love animals too. I do think your state, California has become much more aware and have made the most changes for all animals. My state, Ohio, still has their heads buried in the sand and it has big agricultural and puppy mill business. Thank you dear one, and luv to Sephy.
