My breeder just got a new litter of Siberian Husky puppies. This weekend, we went to visit the little guys and gals, and it was simply awesome!
The Siberian Husky puppies are over 5 weeks old in the pictures.
Why are puppies so awesome?
- Puppies have that great smell of youth. You feel younger just by smelling them. Someone should make a puppy scented air freshener!
- Puppies are infinitely curious. They have a fun time just playing with your fingers.
- Puppies are great to hold and they are happy to fall asleep on your lap. It was a cold and rainy weekend, so it was especially nice to share our laps with some puppies.
- Puppies not only warm your hands, but they also warm your heart.
- Puppies look like little angels, especially when they are asleep.

The best way that I know of is to do a dog DNA test.

I got my Huskies from Seranade in CA. They only have one litter every few years though. Here is the Siberian Husky Club of America breeder list-

Where did you get the puppies? And do you know any good breeders? I live in California.

I got my Sibes from a breeder that is on the Siberian Husky Club of America breeder list-

First, I got a list of breeders in my area. Then, I searched for their websites. I found a few that had recent litters and called them up. I also sent some email to those that did not have websites, asking if they are planning any upcoming litters.
Many of the puppies were already reserved, but they gave me a lot of useful information about the breed, and they also gave me contacts to their breeder friends who may have available puppies.

Awwww those puppies are gorgeus, what breed was your first dog? I really want a shiba but they’re not reccomended for first time owners, i’ve researched everything about them and I think I could manage? Or should I get another breed?

Hello Sophie,
My first was actually the Shiba Inu. If I had to do it over again, I probably wouldn’t have done that. Shiba Sephy and I had a very tough start.

In the end though, it turned out pretty well but I think I could have saved us both a lot of heartache if I waited to get the Shiba.
However, I am also a big believer of getting the dog that you want most. Dogs are a lot of work and costs a lot of money in terms of upkeep, so during tough times, you don’t want to have any regrets.
For my first dog, I really wanted a Siberian or a Shiba. I went with the Shiba because I didn’t have a backyard then. Looking back, I probably should have moved first, and then get the Siberian. Once I have more dog experience, the Shiba wouldn’t have been such a big challenge. 😀
But in the end, I will only get a dog that I truly want even though there may be greater challenges.
