Psych (USA network) is a very entertaining and funny television show about a psychic detective (Shawn) and his partner (Gus) who works together with the Santa Barbara police department to catch bad guys.
In a recent episode, a pair of retired detectives teach Shawn and Gus the Bark and Mark technique. With Bark and Mark, someone in the team creates a diversion. During this diversion, the rest of the team can sneak in and rescue the hostage.
A few days after watching this episode, I gave both Sephy and Shania a cheese toy after their morning walk. The cheese toy is simply one of their regular chew toys with added small pieces of cheese. It is a big favorite with the dogs.
As usual, the dogs lie down and wait while I prepare their toys, then each of them gets one.
Being a Shiba, Sephy will always try to steal Shania’s toy after he has finished working on his own.
There is no stealing allowed, so I usually sit with Shania until she is totally done with her toy and has moved away or fallen asleep.
While Shania was still working on her toy, Sephy’s ears perk up and he runs into the living room and starts barking.
As usual, I go over to Sephy and make sure there are no intruders. He stops barking once I am there. Shania also comes along to give her support.
There was nobody that I could see. When I turn around, Sephy was gone.
Where was Shiba Sephy?
He had stolen Shania’s toy and was working on it contentedly! What a sneaky little rogue.
I guess he was paying special attention to that Psych episode. 😀
Beware the Bark and Mark.
