Shiba WordPress Theme Release 2.0 includes some new styling capabilities.

We now have styled excerpts for all multi-post pages, as well as a styled WordPress search widget.

Here are the key new features for Shiba 2.0 -

1. Styled Excerpts

All multi-post pages (e.g. blog front-page, category page, search page) will feature nicely styled blog excerpts with thumbnail graphics, rather than show the entire text of the posts.

Excerpts are preferred because it will give your visitors a quick way to scan all of your posts, and find something of interest.

If you show your entire post, your visitors will only be exposed to the first one or two posts. If those do not grab their attention, they will likely move on to something else.

2. Updated support for Menubar Plugin 4.2

This Shiba theme release supports the new updates made to Menubar Plugin 4.2. This release also works with previous menubar plugin releases.

3. Styled WordPress Search Widget

The native WordPress search widget is now properly styled to fit the Shiba Theme. There is a nice glossy search button, and the entire WordPress search widget has a cleaner look.
